Art Deco Sideboard/Cocktail Cabinet. For restoration.

A beautiful walnut veneered, genuine art deco sideboard/cocktail cabinet from 'Hungary4deco'.

So starting from the top of this art deco cocktail cabinet we have a display cabinet which could be used to store books or for glasses. This cabinet is accessable by two sliding glass doors and has a removable walnut veneered shelf inside.

Below this to the left, as you look at the cocktail cabinet, is a drop down door which when opened could be used to mix those cocktails or as a platform for a laptop or keyboard with enough room inside for a lcd computer screen. Next to this door is another drop down door with a moulded front and with a lovely rosewood inlaid marquetry silhouette, very art deco! Next to this door is another glass door with its original bevel edged glass, this door gives access to the curved display cabinet on the right of the sideboard, with a walnut veneered shelf inside.

Then the bottom of the cocktail cabinet has two drawers and two doors to the left and a wonderful bow fronted door to the right, both cupboards below with a shelf inside.

The cocktail cabinet is in its original used condition and does need some restoration work and repolishing to bring it back to its former glory. I have tried to show the main faults in the photos below, such as the missing veneer on one of the drop down doors and the damage to the larger drop down door where some wally has used a screwdriver to force thier way in, but there is also some veneers lifting on the front of the large bow front door as well which will need regluing.

All in all though this is a superb quality genuine art deco sideboard/cocktail cabinet with some stunning walnut veneers that will look spectacular once it has been restored and repolished.
