These art deco club chairs are in their original very worn condition. They are period 1920s to 1930s art deco club chairs, they are not reproduction or 'in the style of', these are the real thing! |

As you can see from the photos the upholstery is in a very used condition and would need re-covering or re-upholstery. An ideal project here for anyone taking an upholstery class or furniture retoration course at college or evening classes. If however you would like these armchairs restored and re-upholstered please do not hesitate to contact me (David) at info@hungary4deco.co.uk . The springs and webbing are still very strong though, making these art deco club chairs very comfortable to sit in. |

The beautifully steam bent curved arms on these club chairs are each made from solid walnut, they do have a slight wobble but the joints are all fine so they would be easy to re-glue during the upholstery process. The original polish is a bit faded and worn through in areas, especially on the tops of the arms where you would rest your elbows, but to maintain that antique look the arms could be revived with a few coats of new polish applied, or even just a good furniture wax polish. But again if you would like the arms and back legs fully restored and re-french polished prior to delivery to your own upholsterer then please do not hesitate to email me (David) at info@hungary4deco.co.uk .
