Art Deco Walnut and Inlaid Desk, 1930's.

A magnificent walnut veneered art deco desk dating from the 1930's. To the centre of the desk is a quarter veneered drawer, with its original working lock and key, finished at the front with a solid brass escutcheon.

With two inlaid doors either side that open to reveal a bank of three drawers on one side and a shelf on the other side (see photo below). Both doors with original working locks and a key, finished on the front with a solid brass escutcheon. |

The back of the desk is inlaid on each corner to match the doors at the front, with a beautiful quarter veneered walnut panel in the centre. |

|
The top is veneered with two consecutive pieces of crown cut walnut veneer side by side, mirrored and running the entire length of the top. |
